Licensing and registration
Security work requires a licence. In Victoria, security licences are issued by Victoria Police through its Licensing and Regulation Division, which sets its own requirements for training completed by overseas students. Confirm the current requirements with Victoria Police before you commit to a course.

The qualification usually used to enter this work
The usual entry qualification is Certificate II in Security Operations (CPP20218), a nationally recognised qualification on the national register. The registered training organisations approved to deliver and issue it are listed on training.gov.au.
